Fruit Leather

Ingredients

Scale

3 Cups fruit- apricots, strawberries, peaches, etc.
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey, optional
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoon Unsweetened Applesauce

Instructions

In a food processor or high powered blender add all the ingredients.

Process until mixture is smooth and pourable. If you need to you can add some water 1 tsp. at a time, don’t let the mixture get too thin.

Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. If using a food dehydrator use silicone mats.

Preheat the oven to lowest setting, usually 170 degrees.

Place in the oven and cook until no longer liquidy or sticky. This usually takes 3-5 hours depending on your oven. (Follow your dehydrator instructions for cooking times and temperatures.)

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

Remove parchment paper from baking sheet and cut leather and parchment paper with kitchen shears into individual serving sizes, I like to make 2″ X 6″ strips.

Roll up leather and parchment paper together. Use a small piece of tape to keep them rolled.

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Refrigerate or freeze for longer storage times.
