Golden Turmeric Latte

Ingredients

1 Cup water

2 tea bags of Rooibos tea*

1 Tbsp. ginger, grated

1 cup coconut milk*, unsweetened (you can also use almond milk)

1/21 1/2 tsp. turmeric (work up to your desired flavor tolerance)

up to 1 Tbsp. raw honey

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 Tbsp. coconut oil

Instructions

In a small sauce pan, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Remove from heat and add in the Rooibos tea bags, cover and allow to steep for 10-15 minutes. Discard tea bags after steeping.

Grate the ginger then squeeze the juice out of it into a saucepan. Discard the pulp. Add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat through for about 3 to 5 minutes, not letting it come to a boil. Whisk continuously.

If you’d like a little foam use an immersion blender just before transferring to mugs.

Pour into 2 mugs through a sieve (to catch any remaining ginger fiber) and enjoy!
